TREEZE Engineering announced on the 6th that it has signed a business agreement with Spring Cloud for an open mobility business. The goal is to cooperate in entering and commercializing the open mobility platform market, which includes various software and hardware (SW and HW) needed for autonomous driving.
The two companies began their mobility business initiatives in January with an agreement to develop a UGV (Unmanned Ground Vehicle) platform. They are also participating in a project to support the diversification of future car businesses through the Korea Automotive Technology Institute.
TREEZE Engineering has participated in over 100 autonomous vehicle development projects with domestic and international companies and institutions based on its autonomous vehicle platform technology. Recently, it has been focusing on developing autonomous driving technology for special-purpose vehicles, growing into a SW and HW technology company related to autonomous vehicles.
Spring Cloud provides autonomous driving stacks, remote control, and convergence reality-based verification technologies for over 40 customer projects focused on autonomous driving and robot unmanned solutions.
Based on their mutual agreement, the two companies plan to develop autonomous mobility technology based on an open platform, establish various business plans together, and expect to create synergy, including expanding into overseas markets.
