Ability Systems joins forces with TREEZE Engineering to bolster the autonomous logistics business. Their goal is to secure core technologies and become a leading company in the global market.

Ability Systems recently announced on the 19th that they have signed a business agreement with TREEZE Engineering to successfully promote and expand the autonomous logistics business.

The business agreement between the two companies includes mutual cooperation and consultation on the development of autonomous driving technology for the “Export-Import Autonomous Vehicle Automatic Handling Support System Technology Development” project promoted by the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, as well as for the autonomous commercial and yard truck business, which is in demand both domestically and internationally.

Last year, Ability Systems delivered an LV3+ autonomous commercial vehicle ordered by the Automotive Convergence Technology Institute. Since 2021, they have been developing V2X wireless communication and vehicle encryption infrastructure technology for the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries’ “Export-Import Autonomous Vehicle Automatic Handling System Demonstration Project,” and they have secured autonomous passenger car technology capable of automatic parking on vehicle ships, transforming into a specialized company in autonomous logistics.

TREEZE Engineering has experience participating in over 100 autonomous vehicle development projects with domestic and international companies and institutions based on autonomous vehicle platform technology. Recently, they have been focusing on developing autonomous driving technology for special-purpose vehicles, growing as a hardware (HW) and software (SW) technology company related to autonomous vehicles.

Ability Systems and TREEZE Engineering expect to create synergy through mutual cooperation, including establishing autonomous logistics business plans and swiftly and smoothly improving business conditions.

Ja-il Shin, CEO of Ability Systems, said through the agreement, “We will secure the core technologies for the autonomous logistics industry,” and added, “By closely cooperating with TREEZE Engineering, we aim to become a leading company in the global market for competitive logistics automation businesses.”
